Specific Duties:

  • Responsible for directing technical work on projects;
  • Performs a variety of analyses and prepares appropriate documentation;
  • Prepares and makes briefings and presentations;
  • Assists in on-site management of installations;
  • Works independently to install, operate, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and repair IT systems devices, circuits, cables, components, software, and end-user devices, components, software and connectivity;
  • Assists in the development and management of project plans to include the review of task performance and work products for correctness, for adherence to design concepts and user requirements, and for progress in accordance with schedules;
  • Coordinates with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.


Required Skills: Five (5) years of progressive IT experience including at least three projects in technical areas listed below (a minimum of one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years):

  • Maintain and support the current environment(s) and all related messaging components;
  • Recommend and perform any needed maintenance, upgrades and installations to ensure the most optimal messaging environment;
  • Assist help desk on escalated tickets pertaining to servers, network, printers, exchange, as well as other issues that may arise;
  • Manage, maintain, support, troubleshoot and optimize current Microsoft Exchange presently in place while making suggestions and adjustments to future needs;
  • Monitor and track incidents and trouble calls in ticketing system in support of the incident and problem management process;
  • Ability to recognize high priority tickets and take action within the expected response time;
  • Update all assigned tickets capturing troubleshooting activities and resolution;
  • Resolve escalations from the IT Service Desk and handle client support requests as well as take ownership of product issues and ensuring closure is achieved;
  • Assist in maintaining corporate liability software inventory
  • Train end users on Exchange technology;
  • Plan, create and deploy security and device management policies;
  • Keep abreast of what the future is bringing in terms of new products and enhancements to products and how those changes affect our company plans;
  • Maintain an accurate service log that documents when service providers replace serialized equipment due to a malfunction or upgrade, which potentially affects annual maintenance contract;


  • Computing Environment: MCSE, or GCWN



  • Minimum Secret clearance, TS desired
  • IAT Level II cert: one of these, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP
  • Six years of relevant experience
