Overview: The NORAD and USNORTHCOM Information Technology Service Management (N2ITSM)  contract supports the full range of NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N-NC) missions to include providing professional, administrative, technical, and management support for the N-NC Cyberspace Operations Directorate (N-NC/J6) to support the enterprise information technology (IT) services provided by the N-NC/J6 in support of NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N-NC) missions.  Provide IT services to N-NC based on the industry best practices Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework that allows for high-quality, measurable performance of IT services and meet all N-NC IT requirements through the entire life-cycle of each IT service in all possible operating environments to include: stable day-to-day operations, deployed operations, exercises, and contingencies.

 

Specific Duties:

  • Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Agency Internet Network (AIN), Intranet and Internet and other data communications systems or a segment of a network system;
  • Maintain network hardware and software;
  • Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability;
  • May supervise other network support and client server specialists
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures;
  • Provide leadership/mentorship to junior & mid-level network engineers;
  • Oversee network control center;
  • Provide support to projects that involve networks;
  • Perform a full range of complex network designs encompassing multiple technologies within a single network;
  • Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations to project managers regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network;
  • Plan new configurations for integration into the network, using knowledge of the performance characteristics of the systems being added to the network and the specifications for network interfaces to insure effective integration and optimal network performance;
  • Ensure that adequate and appropriate planning is provided for hardware and communications facilities to develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation and support of voice communications systems;
  • Provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders.

 

Qualifications:

  • Active/Current Secret clearance; active/current TS desired
