Job Duties

  • Support the mission of Cyber security with respect to event management.
  • Provide subject matter expertise with DoD Cyber security assessment tools and procedures, network security architecture and design, and security technical implementation guides (STIG), and with a focus on network monitoring.
  • Responsible for configuring, managing, monitoring, and maintaining the government network infrastructure.
  • Manage network design, device selection, installation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshoot the government network.
  • Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
  • Supervise personnel in event management or Network Operations Center (NOC).

 

Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience with information assurance, network engineering, or operational support to DoD supporting information operations, Cyber operations, system administration, systems security, or a similar field
  • Experience with DoD C&A and Cyber security programs implementing, operating, managing, and documenting Network Management Systems (NMS) for event management.
  • 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools, SCOM, WUG, Solar Winds, Splunk etc.
  • Knowledge of STIG and Network Monitoring Cyber security policies
  • Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer. Experience with USAF/DoD systems a plus.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service with outstanding written and oral communication

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Active/current Secret Clearance eligible for TS
  • Current ITILv3 Foundations required (or must be able to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Current Security+CE and MCSA or higher
  • Experience in working in Network Operations Centers
  • SME level knowledge of network monitoring systems and solutions
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong investigative drive, excellent listening skills, and the ability to self-motivate individuals
  • Experience with multiple DoD networks 
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience
