USSTRATCOM/J7 Joint Exercises and Training Directorate provides oversight and direction for the Command's joint exercise and training program and after action process. J7 integrates the myriad requirements necessary to achieve and sustain USSTRATCOM Joint Mission Essential Task (JMET) proficiency. USSTRATCOM/J7 manages Command training events, to include web-based Mission Area Training, Civilian Deliberate Development, Individual Training, On-Boarding Mission Area Training, Senior Leader Training, Integrated Mission Area Training (IMAT), and USSTRATCOM's Command exercise program. Team S4 will assist the Government to satisfy the training priorities outlined in the Commander's Guidance, support execution of the Command's Strategic Military Objectives, and enhance joint capabilities to conduct assigned UCP missions. J7 leads the Command to train the force to shape adversary perceptions and assure Allies; prevent and defeat strategic attacks; enhance DOD ability to Combat Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD); enhance the combat capability of the Joint Force; synchronize with and support other Combatant Commands (CCMDs); prepare for uncertainty; realize workforce professional development; and excel in Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) tasks and associated functions.


Job Duties:
Support USSTRATCOM J7 with Training support through the following:
Augment personnel currently performing tasks within the Modeling & Simualtion Mission Area of Expertise to include:
• Performing research and analysis and provide solutions and recommendations for a secure Cyberspace training modeling and simulation (M&S) environment.
• Analysis of existing Cyberspace M&S capabilities to include virtual worlds and related technologies and identification of new or emerging technologies that could provide USSTRATCOM and/or USCYBERCOM with enhanced capabilities to assess Cyberspace- related proficiency.
• Development and evaluation of Cyberspace training environments (e.g., emulations of DOD and Adversary network capabilities) for use in closed network ranges (Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR), DOD Cyberspace ranges) to ensure that the same meet strategic goals; and analysis of training standards, certification requirements, capabilities, and strategic goals for Cyberspace training environments.
• Assess joint cyberspace work-roles by analyzing task and duty experiences to formulate potential simulation/environment skill "gates" through which cyberspace professionals will pass as they deepen and enrich their experiential base.
• Create cyberspace workforce training environment models/scenarios based on CCMD performance standards and specified training certifications requirements in order to synchronize roles for joint cyberspace advance warfighter personnel.
• Identify Joint training modes, simulations, and environments for cyberspace personnel that would aid in the development of cyberspace professional critical knowledge and skills that contribute to both joint and Service-specific mission critical tasks.
• Design training timelines that establish defined certifications and standards at both the basic "core" level and specifically for each of the defined work roles at all spectrums of proficiency and echelons of organization to enable cyberspace professionals to understand what skills they need, what is required of them, and how they can obtain those identified skills.
• Develop joint cyberspace training simulations for Joint Cyber Center and CCMD senior leader education and awareness.


Requisite Personnel Qualifications:
• Critical thinking skills, both qualitatively and quantitatively
• Ability to prepare a well-grounded, defensible argument
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with USSTRATCOM organization desired
• Familiarity with Joint processes, operations, and commands.


Qualifications:
• Possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in the identified Mission Areas of Expertise.
• Possess operational experience utilizing and applying modeling and simulation systems used for exercises.
