The United States Strategic Command's (USSTRATCOM) global missions require robust information systems and flexible, survivable command and control to support force planning and execution, and to ensure connectivity with globally-deployed forces. USSTRATCOM and CDR Joint Functional Component Command (JFCC) Global Strike (GS) requires Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to accomplish sustainment engineering and integration support to plan for and execute life cycle management, conduct configuration management, perform system engineering, and perform installation/integration of required systems into the USSTRATCOM global infrastructure.

Specific Duties: Support to the JFCC/GS with engineering support through the following tasks:
• Provide engineering support for day-to-day operations of C2 systems, and integration/installation of Information Technology (IT), communications, and associated interfaces.
• Provide the government with analysis, integration support, and system engineering support for upgrades and modifications to existing architectures and for new command and control systems that are proposed for installation.
• Assess the degree to which the physical and functional characteristics of C2 systems might be corrupted or adversely impacted by new interfaces and capabilities being introduced, and make recommendations for how best to avoid or minimize such adverse impacts.
• Assist in evaluating proposed changes in secure and non-secure voice and data communications, radio frequency (RF), Red Switch, and High Frequency (HF) systems for mission impact and recommend schedules, procedures and other appropriate alternatives for minimizing operational impact.
• Assist in developing methodologies to support the integration of all types of communications systems used for C2 while providing engineering support that includes integration and upgrade activities utilizing fiber optic systems to move information into, out of, or within C2 areas.
• Assist in evaluating proposed changes to commercial power architectures, and generator/ UPS power architectures, for mission impact, and support the engineering analysis required to integrate new power-related systems and upgrades into the Red/Black electrical power distribution systems that serve command and control systems.
• Provide technical services to include installation, integration, and test of systems and subsystems that support the USSTRATCOM C2 constellation.
• Provide engineering support for development and implementation of solutions for critical systems and capabilities including engineering design, development and implementation of technologies and operational capabilities for senior leadership and supporting facilities.
• Support overall engineering and technical services for C2 communications and computer systems/sub-systems and related supporting systems; this includes supporting the development of complex engineering technical solutions for critical mission systems and capabilities.
• Evaluate proposed changes for mission impact and support the engineering required to integrate new systems and upgrades proposed for the facilities and consoles housing C2 systems.
• Prepare and submit packages to facilitate analysis, integration support, and system engineering support for upgrades and modifications to existing architectures and for new command and control systems that are proposed for installation.
• Provide support to the overall operation, sustainment, and maintenance of C2 systems and sub-systems and related supporting systems to include the design, development, and implementation of new capabilities to meet evolving requirements.

• Familiarity with Joint processes, operations, and commands.
Qualifications:
• Possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering or IT/Computer Systems.
• Possess a minimum of 6 years of experience with Global C2 Systems.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following systems: MILSTAR, the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN), Quintron DICES IV audio switching and routing subsystem, the Creston video routing subsystem, the PESA video distribution subsystem, legacy Mode I communications configuration, and configuration and modification of IP based transport and system technologies.
