The United States Strategic Command's (USSTRATCOM) global missions require robust information systems and flexible, survivable command and control to support force planning and execution, and to ensure connectivity with globally-deployed forces. USSTRATCOM and CDR Joint Functional Component Command (JFCC) Global Strike (GS) requires Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to accomplish sustainment engineering and integration support to plan for and execute life cycle management, conduct configuration management, perform system engineering, and perform installation/integration of required systems into the USSTRATCOM global infrastructure.

Specific Duties: Provide the JFCC/GS with Configuration & Logistics support through the following tasks:
• Provide administrative and technical services to support configuration management of the Global C2 architecture, in order to maintain consistency of node performance; to establish and maintain standardized functional and physical attributes across the USSTRATCOM C2 constellation.
• Ensure consistency with user requirements; to facilitate development and documentation of standard designs; and to ensure maintenance of pertinent information about the installed configuration at each site.
• Develop test protocols and test configurations as requested to evaluate system changes and to satisfy IA requirements, and create and maintain testing documentation while system changes are monitored and evaluated for overall impact to the baseline and control of system configuration.
• Maintain the ability to record and report configuration baselines associated with configuration items while performing functional configuration audits to ensure performance attributes match the desired state.
• Perform physical configuration audits at distributed sites on an annual basis ensuring configuration items have been installed in accordance with, and are being maintained in accordance with, design documentation.
• Review recommended changes generated via formal and informal change processes for potential impact to Global C2, and provide advice on integrating solutions to these requirements into the Global C2 technical architecture.
• Identify when systems/subsystems being installed and interfaced might adversely impact the operation of C2 functions, net-centric objectives, interoperability among sites and with the Global Operations Center/Commander's Situation Room (GOC/CSR), or other related areas, and make recommendations to the government for avoidance of impacts.
• Maintain accountable records for all identified command and control equipment items while performing physical inventories of equipment as requested by the government, and assist in maintaining the currency of the inventory database using the results of these inventories.
• Assist with maintaining the accuracy of the government equipment accountability programs (ITCC's REMEDY program) and with locating missing equipment items and support the government with Reports of Survey for equipment that cannot be located.
• Prepare and submit documentation to include a set of master copies of change documentation, drawings, technical manuals and associated data, databases, and operational software, consistent with industry-standard configuration management practices.
• Provide logistic expertise to effectively manage/execute equipment sparing requirements. - Manage the centralized storage and provisioning of spare assets, and the timely shipments of assets to meet scheduled implementations of technical solutions.
• Assist the government with obtaining timely service from the depot maintenance facilities of large programs supporting Global C2.
• Assist in maintaining commonality across the architecture and identify asset end of life/sale timelines to allow for proper adjustment of acquisition/sustainment activities.
• Provide analysis when needed to identify trending of failed assets.

Requisite Personnel Qualifications:

• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with USSTRATCOM organization desired
• Familiarity with Joint processes, operations, and commands.

Qualifications:
• Possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in providing logistics support.
• Possess experience with supporting configuration management of the Global C2 architecture
