The Engineering and Facilities Management Division (J43) is responsible for planning and execution of the fit out and transition of Facility Operations of United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) new facility, currently under construction. Work requires providing execution and planning support for facility furnishing efforts and space management. Additionally, providing support by preparing graphics and reports representing space management, furnishing data, execution status, and other reports as required. These graphics and reports will be used to communicate with facility occupants and may be used as contract documents for furnishings procurement monitoring and/or execution control. Lastly assist with the logistical and managerial activities to ensure proper furnishing contract performance.


Job Duties: Support USSTRATCOM J43 with the following duties:
• Provide support related to the execution of the Command's furnishing fit-out of the new C2F, currently under construction to include planning and development efforts.
• Assist J43 with conversion to Building Information Modeling techniques for daily operations, and construction project planning/execution.
• Assist in the execution of the Furniture Fit Out (FFO) procurement process, to include submittal reviews, coordination meeting support with the winning vendor, and quality control.
• Assist with the collection of organizational requirements: recommend information items to collect, and meet with occupants to collect and/or examine data.
• Assist with establishing the impact (cost, time, second-order effects, etc.) of the desired change; assemble findings; and assist with presenting requested changes and each's respective solution to the Floor Space Management Board (FSMB).
• Assist with configuring the type, layout, and quantity of furnishings to meet occupant requirements by providing changes to the furniture configuration in the current Building Information Model (BIM).
• Provide graphics and reports for briefing USSTRATCOM senior leadership and individual tenants.
• Provide Disposition Planning and Execution Support for existing furniture not slated for reuse by identifying its data submitted to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and entering these items into the BIM and produce reports.
• Assist in the analysis and development and execution of an asset transition plan from existing facilities to the C2F and identify and load pertinent information into the BIM and time-phase plan for all asset movement between facilities.
• Maintaining Building Information Models by performing Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) functions associated with and representing a furnishing layout within a BIM by utilizing the Revit BIM software.
• Provide training to Government personnel on Revit software.
• Assist with creating and managing the BIM program while providing recommendations on how to modernize J43 work practices which will shift from computer aided drafting (CAD) work to BIM work.
• Create and edit BIM models, templates, and other electronic facility management files and conduct space analysis based on AF guidance and requirements.
• Make recommendations for incorporating BIM into facility cost and schedule decisions and day-to-day facility management.
• Perform CAD or GIS functions associated with representing a building and furnishings layout within a building information model (BIM) communicate commercial best-practices with respect to Facilities Maintenance and Project Planning/Execution.

• Familiarity with USSTRATCOM organization desired
• Familiarity with Joint processes, operations, and commands


Qualifications:
• Demonstrated proficiency for drafting skills in the Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software.
• Possess a minimum of 5-years' experience in facility space management and/or modular furniture systems design.
• Possess a minimum of 5-years of experience in project management and scheduling.
• Possess a minimum of 2-years' experience performing the role(s) of BIM manager wherein organization-specific BIM standards were established and enforced.
• Highly preferred: Possess at least 2-years' experience working with MILCON designs and specifications, across all architectural and engineering disciplines, with an emphasis on interior finishes for projects at the COCOM/MAJCOM level and exceeding 500,000 square feet.
• Highly preferred: Possess at least 2-years' experience analyzing the organizational structure and recommending furnishings plans/layouts, specifications, and finish schemes.
