USSTRATCOM/J6 requires contractor support to provide Information Technology (IT) engineering expertise for enterprise systems in Building 500 starting in August 2016 through the transition to the Command and Control Facility (C2F).

Job Duties Provide direct non-Advisory and Assistance Services support to government IT engineers to ensure the Command's IT architecture and solutions will meet enterprise requirements. These engineers shall develop and propose enterprise IT solutions, perform independent reviews of technical solutions to ensure optimal courses of actions are being pursued, test and/or evaluate end results of IT projects executed against stated objectives for quality assurance/quality controls purposes, assist Government Project Managers with development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) for IT projects, develop or recommend changes to IT related processes and procedures, make recommendations to ensure all USSTRATCOM IT assets are properly implemented, integrated, managed and secured. Position includes recording, forecasting, monitoring, reporting, maintaining, collaboration, presenting, and resolving issues related to IT engineering.

Qualifications:
Possess 5-12 years of experience working with the DOD information technology environment and an understanding of DOD cybersecurity policies and regulations. Major driving policies are DoDI 8510.01 (DIACAP/RMF), DoDI 8500 series (Information Assurance/ Cybersecurity), CNSSI 1253, and CJCSI 6731 (JC2 Security Policy).
Possess 5-12 years of experience as a senior information technology systems/network engineer with project management skills to monitor, manage, and assess progress of complex IT projects.
Possess a mastery of advanced professional computer engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to the development of solutions, implementation of solutions, security, operations, and maintenance of complex information technology systems and supporting infrastructure or architectures. Includes an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of engineering methods, advancements, systems, concepts, analysis, design, development and testing of hardware and software or system architectures.
Possess mastered knowledge on research, development, testing, and evaluation methodologies sufficient to apply experimental theories and/or new applications to provide technical advice and direction.
Possess expert skills in devising and evaluating criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
