Overview: USSTRATCOM/J7 Joint Exercises, Training, and Assessments Directorate enhances readiness and mission performance through joint exercises, wargames, training, and assessments.  J7 also leads the Lessons Learned/After Action programs, IT Test/Evaluation, Modeling/Simulations capabilities, and enables Command workforce professional development.  USSTRATCOM/J7 requires Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for planning, development, execution, and analysis of Command-wide training, education, professional development, and organizational development programs and processes pursuant to SI 234-04, Workforce Onboarding and Development Program.

 

Specific Duties: Provide program management and lesson plan development, analysis, improvement and assessment using appropriate pedagogical methods (analyze, design, develop, coordinate, administer, manage, teach, and evaluate) to design, develop and deliver, and maintain currency of USSTRATCOM training, education, and professional development (TE&PD) products and courses, and incorporate accordingly into appropriate training databases:

 

  • Plan, prepare, maintain/update, and execute Command integrated missions and operations orientation events including: Onboarding, Nuclear Commanders' Course, Striker/Trident Orientation, and external visits to USSTRATCOM.
  • Plan, prepare, maintain/update, and execute command academic and leadership development programs including: Strategic Leadership Fellows and Harvard Senior Executive Fellows programs, Nuclear Deterrence Degree Program, Civilian Tuition Assistance Program (CTAP), and Civilian Automated Training Input (CATNIP) program. Actively advertise the availability of the CTAP program through Command channels (StratWeb, meetings, e-mail, etc.).
  • Plan, prepare, maintain/update, and execute command-wide development programs including: professional development courses, lectures, brown bag events, Command Library, and Learning Center.
  • Support professional development program activities that address identified training needs.

  • Familiarity with Joint processes, operations, and commands.

 

Qualifications:

  • Possess experience that demonstrates the ability to: 1) focus on customer needs, 2) communicate well verbally and in writing, 3) establish rapport with many different types of people, 4) critically evaluate problems and develop solutions, 5) rapidly adapt to change, and 6) organize plan and schedule.
  • At least 3 years' experience with program management and lesson plan development, analysis, improvement and assessment using appropriate pedagogical methods.
  • Possess an active/current Top Secret+ security clearance
