LCAT: Enterprise Architect Journeyman

Overview: In this position you will apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.  Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Specific Duties:

• Assist with documenting the enterprise architecture infrastructure
• Assist with developing target architectures to accomplish AFW's strategic vision and goals in a cyber-secure, cost-effective, AFNIC-compliant, and cloud-effective way
• Assist with determining the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommending plans for transitioning to target architecture
• Assist Chief Enterprise Architect in performing all Lead Command annual FYDP planning activities. Activities include identifying life cycle sustainment tasks, helping LC accomplish risk matrix, manage/normalize all LCMC tech baseline  creation/cost estimate activities, and generate annual cost trade-off analysis results and associated briefings
• Assist with developing reference models to support achieving the target architecture of the enterprise and maintaining the information
• Assist with identifying opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support mission processes and utilize emerging technologies
• Assist Program Managers and Lead Engineers in coordinating and conducting governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security / cyber security policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture
• Assist with supporting and advising on development of Service Oriented Architectures for software development

Skills:  

• Possess the knowledge and experience to perform the duties listed above
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, review complex directives and guidance and provide recommendations on system compliance with directives.

Qualifications:

• Active/current Top Secret+
• Must have a current Security+ (or higher) certification
• BS and 12 years of experience (5 years DoD), or 20 years directly related experience with proper certifications (5 years DoD)
• CISSP certification is desirable
