Job Title: Business Relations Manager

Work Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Clearance: Current Active Secret

Education: Bachelor's Degree, or HS Diploma/GED and 7 years of hands-on job related experience

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant federal government contracting experience required Certification:  ITIL Intermediate or able to obtain it within 90 days of hire

Travel: Occasional

Overview:

Building positive relationships with customers as an IT liaison for each department in a DoD environment. A BRM understands all business processes and provides technology guidance to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI) for IT business strategy requirements. A key BRM role is reducing business and IT barriers.

 

Specific Duties:

  • Understand customer needs and develop plans to address them
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively
  • Promote high-quality procedures and customer service processes
  • Aim to preserve customers and renew contracts
  • Approach potential customers to establish relationships
  • Assist in defining priorities both for the company and the customer and align them

 

Required Skills:

  • Technical proficiency in IT systems
  • Strong business background
  • Knowledge of DoD 8570 requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current Active Secret security clearance
  • Proven experience as a Relationship Manager for customers/business
  • Experience in IT Service Management and Service Delivery
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) practices
  • Experience in IT Operations & Maintenance of complex network service is preferred
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Aptitude for fostering positive relationships
  • Teamwork and leadership skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • ITIL v3 Foundations Certification or able to obtain it within 90 days of hire
