LCAT: Communications Systems for Exercise and Training Events Support SME

Overview: Define, plan, and configure automation and communications systems for exercises and training. Operate communication systems during training, exercise, and real-world events preparation. Support users with audio, video, video teleconferencing, and data communications systems during training, exercises, and real-world events preparation. Communications used to support this task include secure and non-secure telephone equipment, Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN), audio recorder, Enhanced Communication Console (ECC), AMX Video display unit, Digital Integrated Communications electronic Systems (DICES) audio controller, Joint Integrated Missile Defense Missile Warning System (JIMDITS), multi-media video wall, Distributive Continuity Integrated Network-TS, Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS), Global Command and Control System-Joint (GICCS-J), Voice-Over-Internet Protocol (VOIP) terminals, STRATCOM Training and Enterprise Network (STEN), Nuclear Planning and Execution System (NPES), and multiple classified video-teleconferencing equipment.

Skills: Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with clients and vendors, demonstrated technical leadership skills, good verbal and written communication skills. Have a solid understanding of the design of complex databases (e.g., schema and subschema details) so limitations/deficiencies can be identified.

Qualifications:

• Current active Top Secret+ security clearance
• 10+ years of experience with a thorough understanding of communications systems operations and conferencing
• A minimum of five years of communications expertise obtained from duties performed for one or more of the following positons: Airborne Command Post (ABNCP), National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) or USSTRATCOM Command Center (GOC).
• Four years of experience operating audio, video, video teleconferencing, and data communication systems and equipment for one or more of the systems/equipment listed below:
  • Secure and non-secure VOIP, DRSN, ECC Audio Recorder, AMX Video Display Unit, PLANAR Video Weall, DICES, Distributive Continuity Integrated Network-TS, JWICS, STEM, NPES, and JIMDTS.
