Job Description Summary

Assist in the formulation, coordination and implementation of future concepts. Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information in the development of DoD concepts in order to assist management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions related to assessing, coordinating and implementing joint warfighting concepts. Assist in concept program evaluation, review, or implementation. Support work on high-visibility programs and perform all functional duties with minimal supervision.

Job Duties

• Develop, coordinate, and implement transformational concepts and innovative solutions that advance globally integrated logistics, roles and responsibilities, the command strategy and campaign plan, and Joint Deployment and Distribution (JDDE) effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain relationships with concept and innovation representatives across Combatant Commands (CCMDs), OSD, Joint Staff, Services, and interagency organizations to identify, prioritize, and coordinate innovative joint concepts.
• Attend, arrange and conduct discussions/meetings with key stakeholders and assist in the development of concepts that produce tangible, agile, and innovative solutions and capabilities that meet the immediate and future needs of the JDDE.
• Identify deficiencies in capabilities, milestones, resources and budgets, methodology for tracking progress of concepts.
• Promote interoperability concepts in forums and wargames to strengthen alliances and attract new international partners.
• Identify doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership and education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) changes needed to enable successful concept implementation.

Basic Qualifications

• Active current Secret clearance
• Minimum of two years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) planning, policy and concept development.
• Experience with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)
• BA/BS degree

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE)
• Experience with Integrated Priority List (IPL) Development and Capability Gap Assessment (CGA)
• Experience with Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Capability Production Documents (CPDs), and Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Personnel (DOTMLPF-P) Change Requests (DCRs)
• Level B JCIDS Certification
