Job Title: Configuration Manager

Work Location: USSTRATCOM Offutt AFB, NE

Clearance: Active current TS+

Education & Experience: 12+ years of experience with configuration management (BS in related field is highly desired)

Schedule:  Primarily Monday Friday day shift. May be required to perform 24/7 shift work and on-call support as requested by the government during exercises and contingencies.

Travel: Occasional

LCAT: Configuration Manager

Overview: In this position you will be required to maintain a functional, hardware and software baseline of the Strategic Mission Assurance Data System (SMADS). Ensure requirements traceability through all stages of development to production of new versions of SMADS. Maintain awareness of the rate at which software development consumes hardware resources. Report on potential End of Life (EOL) of software the SMADS is dependent on and developed with.

Specific Duties:

• Implement new or utilize an existing management of system to track requirements provided by the government for development and track progress of capability development
• Perform architecture analysis of the system and advise the government regarding hardware and software resource limitations, constraints, and upgrades
• Develop and implement a configuration management plan (CMP)
• Develop test plans for each development cycles of SMADS, containing entrance and exit criteria for each phase of testing
• Perform needs analysis to define opportunities for new or improved processes
• Document and publish the process used to transition new iterations of SMADS from test environments to the production environment

Skills:  

• Possess the knowledge and experience to perform the duties listed above
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, review complex directives and guidance and provide recommendations on system compliance with directives.
• Strong written and verbal skills

Qualifications:

• Active/current Top Secret+
• 12+ years of experience with configuration management of a system's engineering process for establishing and maintaining consistency of product performance
• Experience maintaining a development process that has allowed requirements traceability from design through production and release of the final product
• Experience identifying, creating, maintaining and updating of system functional, hardware, and software baselines
