Work Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Clearance: Current Active Secret

Education: BS/BA/MS/MA/PhD; or HS Diploma or equivalent

Experience: 4+ years of experience with information assurance, network engineering, or operational support to DoD

Certification: Security+ce, MCSA, HBSS, ACAS

Schedule: Monday Friday, some weekends possible

Travel: Occasional

Contract Labor Category: Cyber Security Analyst

Specific Duties:

• Support the mission of Cyber security per DoDI 8500.01 and 8510.01 and NIST 800-37, 800-53, 800-39, and 800-30
• Provide subject matter expertise with DoD Cyber security assessment tools and procedures, network security architecture and design, and security technical implementation guides (STIG)
• Conduct analyses and risk assessment procedures on Cyber security capabilities to provide clients with solutions for enhancing Cyber risk awareness
• Support senior-level accreditation and authorization decisions
• Consult government action officer level decision makers on the technical implementation of solutions for promoting the sustainment of Cyber security across networks and multiple other technology areas
• Support research of emerging technology and requisite security requirements and emerging threats and develop ways forward to meet organizational goals

Skills:  

• Associates degree and 4+ year experience, or a commensurate combination of education, training, and experience required
• 4+ years of experience with information assurance, network engineering, or operational support to DoD supporting information operations
• Cyber operations, system administration, systems security, or a similar field
• Experience with DoD C&A and Cyber security programs developing or analyzing system security plans, security assessment reports, POA&Ms, and security test and evaluation reports
• Knowledge and training with HBSS, ePO, and DoD Cyber security policies
• Microsoft O/S certification required day one.  Acceptable certifications include MCSE or MCITP.
• Current Security+ ce required on date of hire
• ITILv3 Foundations required (or must be able to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service with outstanding written and oral communication

Qualifications:

• Previous experience supporting government and/or Department of Defense customers
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Strong investigative drive and listening skills, self-motivated individuals
• Experience with multiple DoD networks
