CLC: DLA Virtual Platform Administrator

Specific Duties:

• Manages and maintains complex software systems;
• Performs application software implementations and upgrades;
• Ensures high availability, security and integrity of assigned applications;
• Monitors applications, including setting alerts to maintain the stability of the environment and application, monitoring error logs, and automating administration tasks wherever possible;
• Installs application patches and releases on development, test, preproduction, and production systems;
• Serves as key person in troubleshooting system problems;
• Creates and maintains accurate system documentation for assigned systems;
• Maintains current descriptions and documentation of application and system configurations, including tracking and documenting any changes to environments;
• Assists in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned systems;
• Participates in disaster recovery planning, including assisting with fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans;
• Analyzes performance trends to optimize application performance.

Required Skills:

• Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the management and maintenance of virtualized server environments and hosted applications.
• At least two years of qualifying experience must include managing successful large scale, multi-disciplinary (network, virtualization, systems administration) projects involving virtual servers.
• Strong knowledge in Computing Environment: VCP, VCAP, VCP5-DCV, VCDX5

Qualifications:

• Minimum Secret clearance, TS desired
• IAT Level II cert: one of these, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP
• Bachelor's Degree desired
• Seven years of relevant experience
