Overview: Receives, ships, transports, tracks, inspects and accepts shipments into the USSTRATCOM Logistics facility and supports IT disposition. Ensures IT asset management is in accordance with DOD regulations, FAR requirements, DCMA requirements, and USSTRATCOM SAIs. Manages warehouse accountability and inventory control, also advises on procedures for developing procurement processes. Works with the ES procurement organization to ensure delivery information is current and verified for vendor sources as required. Experienced with Handling Government Property, Inventory Control management, Supply Chain management, minor technical experience with IT replacement parts, IT requirements stock, and contracting services. Maintains Inventory storage maintenance, Inventory Control, warehouse upkeep, and turn-in of all warehouse stores and equipment. Perform all functional responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner. This includes:

  • Identify efficiencies and/or process improvement opportunities
  • Prepare warehouse status and action reports
  • Track routine logistic transactions using the Materials Management System (Remedy) and oversee the routing of merchandise to ensure that inventory requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Perform clerical and physical tasks for processing Shipping/Receiving goods for the ITCC II Contract and Guidelines.
  • Verify actual materials or equipment against receiving documents in packaging, noting and reporting discrepancies, deviations, and obvious damages.
  • Ensure incoming materials are properly handled, stored, tendered, and routed correctly.
  • Apply working technical knowledge of warehousing, storage, retrieval, and shipping methodologies, which require an understanding of the process and program's storage plan.
  • Store, stack, and/or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods and requirements.
  • Properly maintain inventory of stored and staged materials.
  • Examine and inspect stored materials and report deterioration, damage, and stagnation.
  • Process material from storage and prepare it for shipment via proper packaging requirement. Processes all materials identified for shipment, verify materials using a double check system including "Disposition turn-in". This includes verifying the request documents, packaging, ensuring complete and correct release documents/manifests.
  • Compile reports on inventory counts and stock records, end of life, spoilage of, or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
  • Collect, process, and maintain data for analysis.
  • Communicate with individual department management regarding the status of equipment, supply orders and equipment returned to vendors for repair; ensure alternate arrangements are made during repairs and order deliveries as needed.
  • May operate a pallet jack to load/off load trucks, and move materials to various locations, some manual lifting required.
  • Create and maintain data sources that support supply chain studies, along with Inventory Control standards.
  • Oversee the maintenance history of system-supporting process and procedure documentation.
  • Develop and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current.

Skills: Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with clients and vendors, demonstrated technical leadership skills, good verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service skills


Qualifications:

  • Current active Top Secret+ security clearance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Associates Degree from an accredited 2-year college
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Logistics environment (Supply Chain/Inventory Control/Shipping/ Receiving/ Warehousing)
  • Knowledge of ISO 20000 preferred or working knowledge of ISO processes and procedures.
  • Experience working with tracking and routing software.
  • Experience using IT Management tools such as Remedy.
  • Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) FAR 52.244-5).
  • Experience using IT Management tools such as Remedy.
  • Understanding of Inventory Control and Supply Chain Management
