Job Duties:

Four years of database administration experience with either Oracle or SQL*Net is required. Any DBA must have completed Oracle courses DBA I and Backup and Recovery (or equivalent) or these must be completed at the companies expense, within the first six months on the job. DBA experience must include setting up user IDs with roles and privileges, problem solving, installing software and software patches, load balancing, resolving computer security issues, performance monitoring and tuning of databases, and performing and monitoring backups. DBAs must be able to design and customize complex databases including schema and subschema details. A working knowledge of one of relational database software packages used on a production system at AFCEE required. In addition, a working knowledge of the following operating systems is required: Microsoft's most current Air Force approved Standard Server Configuration versions or System V  UNIX/SUN Solaris OS. 12 months of experience with complex databases is required.  Must possess the skill and knowledge to administer several database applications and administer configuration management software while providing technical assistance like data retrieval and data update to other staff members.

Any required reports will be determined at the TO level.  (TE-A)

Qualifications:

• Current/Active TS
• In addition, a total of four years of database administration experience is required along with a full year of experience administering complex databases and an extensive knowledge of backup and recovery procedures. Oracle courses in System Tuning and Network Administration (or equivalent) are required; otherwise these must be completed at the Contractor's expense within the first six months on the job.
• Skills: Ability to deal with difficult customers, Pleasant demeanor and knowledgeable telephone skills
• Previous hands on experience in all facets of systems administration/network management

This contract supports functions described in DoD 8570.01-M and AFMAN 33-285.  Unless waivered, personnel performing System Administrator, Information Assurance Officer, Information Assurance Manager, or any other IA duties must be appropriately certified IAW DoD 8570.01-M and AFMAN 33-285 prior to providing IA services IAW this contract
