Job Duties: The individual in this position support the Mobility Air Force C2 Functional Area Manager on the management and oversight of all personnel and equipment within the 618 AOC and Global MAF C2 functional areas of responsibility.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic C2 policy (AOC Publications Development, AFIs, AMCIs, TTPs), interim and long term guidance, and functional area management for 618 AOC (TACC).
  • Provide input to planning & execution process; availability of forces and equipment and training levels.
  • Use Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES) to develop and maintain the 618 AOC and Stage Management and eventually AFFOR UTCs.
  • Review planning data; analyze for trends; direct appropriate corrective actions.
  • Provide risk assessments for emergent requirements.
  • Provide DRRS SORTS documentation for RRR.
  • Assist in preparation of Program Element Monitor (PEM) Parades and prepares POM inputs.
  • Advocate for C2 Systems, Upgrades, and Manning levels.
  • Coordinates Requirements/Integration Issues with HQ AMC/A6 /A3CS A3CS interfaces with the A6 directly with A3 corporate requirements, including those of the 618 AOC.
  • 618 AOC still works directly with the A6, and A3CG not always included/available in/for these exchanges).
  • Provide support to AOC Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS)/IT/Business System issues/Global Awareness Decision Support (GDSS) - User Defined Operational Picture (GLADS-UDOP).
  • Participates as High Performance Team Member on cross-functional teams, functional conferences, etc.
  • Assist in AFFOR FAM duties to include development of unit type codes (UTCs) to augment AFFOR staff and the AOC, administer the AFFOR staff certification and continuation training program, and AOC Weapon System SME.
  • Assist FAM as the 618 AOC Weapon System Lead and 618 AOC FAM.
  • Directly supports CLIN 0010MAF C2 Requirements Support and CLIN 0011 Organizational Design.

Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years' experience as Air Force Functional Area Manager.
  • Understanding of Air Force doctrine and policies regarding Air Force, force presentation and the planning policies, processes and systems used to support the joint planning process.
  • Familiar with in the Unit Type Code (UTC) development and management process.
  • Familiar with DoD and USAF Planning Programming and Budgeting process and supporting systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • Active current Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience as Air Force Functional Area Manager.

 

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Experience in the management and oversight of all personnel and equipment to support operational planning and execution with experience in the 618 AOC or other Mobility Air Forces highly desired.
  • Responsibilities may include developing and reviewing policy; developing, managing, and maintaining Unit Type Codes; developing criteria for and monitoring readiness reporting; force posturing; and analysis.
