Job Title: Hardware Technician

Work Location: Colorado Spring, CO

Clearance: Active Secret

Education: BS/AA with 3 years of experience or HS Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree

Experience: 3 years

Certification: Security+ CE and Windows 10 or higher, ITIL v3 within 90 days of hire

Schedule: Monday Friday day shift/occasional evening and weekend

Travel: Occasional

Salary: Commensurate with experience

LCAT: Hardware Technician

Specific Duties:

• Maintain close control of all IT Hardware assets while in preparation for transfer to new custodians
• Load software and appropriate drivers to machines and ensure all programs work correctly
• Assist Service Desk with installation of equipment to end-user's desk, classroom or special environment
• Actively familiar with all Hardware/Software activities and processes based on the principles and framework identified in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3
• Assist with gathering numbers for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Service Asset Configuration Management
• Work with the Hardware SACM, Security, Operations, Test and Integration Lab (TIL), to ensure that hardware/software additions (new and Version upgrades) are processed thru the appropriate process models for addition to network
• Manage the physical inventory and assets and provide a process and procedure to access these items 24/7
• Establish, document and maintain updated HW asset management procedures, process models
• Work closely with Supplier Finance/Procurement to ensure all material purchases are validated prior to submittal
• Other duties as assigned

Skills:  

• Familiarity with JELA and EULA contracts
• Hardware Technician experience
• Experience with Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM)
• Experience with Asset Management lifecycle (Goods receipt, Deployment, IMACs)
• ITIL Foundations certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Familiarity and experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

Qualifications:

Active current Secret clearance

Current Security+ CE certification

Current Windows 10 or higher certification

Current ITIL v3 or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire

Ability to work Monday Friday day shift and occasional evenings and weekends
