Job Title: Help Desk Support

Status: Looking for qualified candidates to fill our next available open position

Work Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Clearance: Active current Secret

Please note that you must be a US citizen to apply to this position

Education: BA/BS or AA with 3 years of experience,

Experience5+ years of experience in lieu of degree

Certifications: Security+ CE AND Windows 10 Desktop, A+ CE, or MD-100 or higher

Schedule: Monday-Friday days and 24/7 coverage during exercises and contingency operations

Travel: Occasional

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements;
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages; Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures;
  • Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels;
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions;
  • Ensures data/media recover-ability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations;
  • Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services;
  • Develops and promotes standard operating procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Current Security+ CE AND Windows 10, A+ CE, MD-100 or higher Certification
  • ITIL v3 preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 5+ years of operational IT experience without a degree
  • Must have operational hardware and software experience with multi-vendor laptops and workstations, HP Printers, and common workstation peripherals
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service with outstanding written and oral communication
  • Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer
