Job Title: Help Desk Technician

Work Location: Washington DC Office

Clearance: Current Active Top Secret

Education: BS/BA or 6 years of experience without a degree

Experience: Must have 3-5 years of Operational IT experience

Certification: DOD 8570 Security+ CE and Windows 10 and ITILv3 Foundations required (or must be able to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Travel: Occasional

Specific Duties:

  • Provide ITIL based Service Desk support to DoD users
  • Follow existing policy and process to ensure user receives quality service resolution on the first call
  • Support Request Fulfillment by supporting the installation of standard requests, both on-site and remotely
  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
  • Develops and promotes standard operating procedures
  • Ensure proper security practices are in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
  • Other contract duties as assigned

 

Required Skills:

  • Must have operational software experience with Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Active Directory, Server 2012, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have operational hardware experience with multi-vendor laptops and workstations, HP Printers, Dell, Blackberry's and common workstation peripherals
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service with outstanding written and oral communication
  • Operational experience with Microsoft Directory Services, CommVault, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Systems Center, Digital Senders
  • Ability to work in the Homeland Defense (HD) environment
  • Ability to speak well and professionally to users either on the phone or in person
  • Ability to conduct quality customer follow-up on open Incidents and Service Requests, perform software installations and upgrades
  • Ability to show initiative and act independently to resolve problems, manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects/tasks to completion

 

Qualifications:

  • Current/Active TS (SCI Eligible)
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II, Security+ CE and Windows 10 certification
  • ITILv3 Foundations required (or must be able to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Must have 3 to 5 years of operational IT experience
  • Microsoft Operating System MCP (Server 2012 or 2016 highly desired)
  • Helpdesk Institute (HDI) certification, preferred
