Overview: S4 Inc. is seeking an Information Assurance Counseling Engineer to support the Joint Information Operations Warfare Center (JIOWC) in assisting the Department of Defense (DoD) to improve its ability to meet combatant command information-related requirements. In this position you will assist the JIOWC Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in the accomplishment of assessments and authorization processes for networks, enclaves, systems, and tools on the JIOWC IT systems in support of JIOWC goals, priorities, and objectives for all capabilities acquired, deployed, and sustained.
Specific Duties: Assess the effectiveness of the security controls that have been implemented in the networks, enclaves, systems, and tools utilized at the JIOWC; advise, assist, and facilitate the ISSO in developing packages in the DoD Cybersecurity program management tools; advise, assist, and facilitate the ISSO's efforts in authoring, editing, and updating System Security Plans (SSP) as required; advise, assist , and facilitate the ISSO's efforts in authorizing, editing, and updating documents as required such as DISA Commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) waivers; advise, assist, and facilitate the ISSO's efforts in maintaining the JIOWC's Software license Management Program; advise, assist , and facilitate the ISSO's incident response team; provide training to security staff on all cybersecurity policies and processes; participate in conferences, technical interchange meetings, and user group meetings; and keep up to date and knowledgeable on standards for all networks that the JIOWC operates on so that they ensure all products submitted for publication are site compatible and meet current Federal, DoD, Air Force, JIOOPWC, and Intelink standards.
Qualifications:
- Must have an active/current TS+
- Seven (7) years of experience in Cybersecurity program administration and assessment and authorization of systems
- Have a working knowledge of DoD TEMPEST regulations and requirements
- Knowledge of, and training in, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization process.
- Three (3) years of experience with Cybersecurity Incident Response and Management.
- DoD IAM Level II: CAP, GSLC, CISM, CASP or CISSP
