Job Title: JWICS VTC Technician

Work Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Clearance: Current active TS+

Education: AS or BS/BA or HS Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of professional hands on experience in lieu of degree, with 2 years of experience being in A/V technologies and vendors including Polycom, Crestron., ClearOne and BSS

Certification: Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) is desired

Schedule: Ability to work multiple shifts, seven days per week including weekends and holidays, and provide on call support

Travel: Occasional or percentage of job

Specific Duties:

• Operate and maintain various conference room audio and visual (A/V) equipment including vendors from Polycom, Crestron, ClearOne, & BSS
• Provide Tier II technical support and assistance for conference room audio visual (A/V) suites, escalate all issues to tier III through ticketing system
• Troubleshoot basic cabling issues including CAT5, fiber and common A/V cables
• Setup, prepare, and operate all meetings, briefings, video teleconferences, and ceremonies in various conference rooms for NORAD/USNORTHCOM
• Repair and Replace JWICS specific A/V equipment within conference rooms including controllers, cameras, microphones, and video switching equipment
• Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the conference rooms
• Receive, evaluate, and schedule customer requests for conference room events throughout the command, including answering phones and e-mail
• Work with customers and operations staff in scheduling preventive and emergency maintenance to include resolution of customer tickets
• Candidate will be required to support on call duty for responding to conference room outages
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Skills:

• Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service with outstanding written and oral communication
• Previous experience with Crestron or AMX programming is preferred
• Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer.
• Experience with USAF/DoD systems a plus

Qualifications:

• Current active TS+
• Ability to work multiple shifts, seven days per week including weekends and holidays, and provide on call support
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Strong investigative drive and listening skills, self-motivated individuals
• The ability to work under pressure, stress, and be flexible with their time
• Ability to work autonomously, self-starter
• Able to think outside the box and make decisions quickly
• Ability to prioritize and document tasks is a plus
