LCAT: Information Assurance Engineer Senior

Overview: 

This is an exciting opportunity supporting the Office of Secure Transportation (OST) command as a Lead Cyber Security Engineer.  This position will be specifically supporting the Information and Telecommunications Technology Services (ITTS) missions by performing various Cyber Security and Information Assurance activities that deal with the security of the information and/or telecommunications systems and the assurance of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information. This position will operate in a dynamic environment in which emerging requirements and changing priorities often occur.

Specific Duties:

• Provide staff with an expert knowledge of the cyber security and information assurance requirements.
• Support cyber security risk assessment activities to include recommending and implementing risk assessment methodologies that address the analysis of threats, vulnerabilities, and environments; calculating mitigated risk based on the implementation of the appropriate federally-recognized security controls, and comprehensively and accurately identifying residual risks.
• Develop and recommend cyber security/information assurance strategies that effectively integrate operational, administrative, procedural, technical and training measures in a cost-effective manner.
• Perform continual monitoring of systems and applications
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity and continuity of operations planning, testing and implementation.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as Cyber Security Operations supporting military or civilian law enforcement operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of information security related experience with security operations, incident analysis, incident handling, vulnerability management or testing, system patching, log analysis, and intrusion detection.
• Experience with security device administration for Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls or equivalent
• Knowledge with TCP/IP, networking and security product experience.

Qualifications:

• Active/current Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Ability to work in team environment and ability to train and manage other team members
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Possess a relevant technical and industry certification such as GIAC, GSNA, GCIA or be able to obtain within 6 months of Task Order award
