S4 Inc. is seeking a full-time Modeling and Simulation Operations SME. This role will be onsite at Offutt AFB, NE to support the USSTRATCOM/J7 program.

Program description: USSTRATCOM's global mission requires continuous exercise, training, and assessment support to enable USSTRATCOM to execute the overarching U.S. Department of Defense policy and provide global capabilities in support of national strategic, and tactical requirements. Planning and execution of joint exercises, training, wargames, developing current and emerging training and exercise modeling and simulation, mission assessments, and education/organizational development programs are required to ensure USSTRATCOM and its components are prepared to accomplish their mission. USSTRATCOM/J7 is responsible for planning and executing USSTRATCOM's Joint Exercise program, leading the Command's wargaming efforts, conducting independent operational and strategic assessments, managing the Command's Test and Integration Facility, developing current and emerging training and exercise modeling and simulation. USSTRATCOM/J14 leads the Command's joint education and organizational development programs. Combined, these efforts are critical to providing the Commander decision-quality data and analysis resulting in improved mission execution and more efficient and effective leadership of assigned forces.

Job Description:

• The M&S Operator will operate and maintain the baseline Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) M&S systems in order to support training and exercises. The initial focus will be on missile warning, missile defense, Nuclear Command, Control and Communication (NC3), and space.
• Manage M&S/LVC components in the virtualized and federated architecture in coordination with other government agencies to ensure the environment is available for use by the training audience.
• Provide help desk support to users of the baseline system during normal working hours with 24/7 surge capability for limited durations as required during exercises and training events.
• Support government project management of the LVC M&S system, including working closely with customers to articulate training environment requirements, support agreements with M&S tool provisioning offices, scheduling of system maintenance and downtime, and other project management functions as may be identified to effectively deliver the M&S/LVC services to a training audience.
• Administer the M&S infrastructure, including virtualization of M&S tools, provisioning of the tools to virtual training environments, user account management, and train-the-trainer for use of the environment.
• Perform train-the-trainer functions at the principal site (Offutt AFB, NE) in addition to offerings at temporary duty (TDY) locations.
• Provide distributed M&S operations technical support to other combatant commands and their components. This includes technical support for scenario generation and configurations, the configuration of networks and user permissions, real-time technical support during LVC events as scheduled and approved, maintenance of technical documentation of system changes, and analysis/assessment of gaps of LVC technologies discovered through training/exercise events.
• Provide innovative M&S services and capabilities. As required, provide technical analysis and prototypes of innovative M&S services.
• Assist the government with responsible prototyping of new M&S/LVC offerings through experimentation, prototyping, testing, and fielding of already developed components into the distributed training environment.
• Support technical planning and communication of the architecture design and development in order to facilitate the integration of the M&S/LVC effort's delivery to a worldwide training audience.
• Using government provided tools and models, develop, test, and execute fully integrated and dynamic M&S to simulate all display systems used during exercises, training, and wargames

Requirements:

Clearance: Current active TS+

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:

• Must demonstrate at least 12 years of experience using government-provided tools and models to develop, test, and execute fully integrated and dynamic M&S to stimulate all display systems used during exercises, training, and wargames.
