Job Duties:
The services required for this position include providing non-personal services in support to the NORAD-USNORTHCOM (N-NC) J71 for exercise planning, development, coordination, facilitation, execution, assessment, and training for exercises VIGILANT SHIELD and AMALGAM DART. Support includes planning, developing, executing, analyzing, and assessing N-NC exercises and events. For exercise/event planning and training support, provide expertise, technical assistance and data, information management for analysis, coordination, planning, execution, and after action reporting. To accomplish this, must review appropriate Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and N-NC exercise and training planning guidance and directives. In addition supports research, information analysis, exercise and training development, and technical support to implement the Commander's joint/combined training and objectives. Will use current joint training doctrine, Joint and Command publications, and coordination with N-NC and other inter-agency organizations as a basis for planning and support.

Required Skills: The work will require skills and expertise, practical operational analysis experience, and technical support as:
• Senior Strategic/Operational/Exercise Planner with experience supporting NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N-NC) or COCOM exercise programs
• Experienced bomber and/or fighter aviator with the ability to serve as lead planner and Air Workgroup facilitator for VIGILANT SHIELD exercise venues supporting NORAD Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) and Concept Plan (CONPLAN)
• Ability to provide NORAD-focused strategic and operational level planning support during all phases of the Joint Training System and specific Joint Event Life Cycles with an emphasis on the Homeland Defense mission set
• Experience with deriving strategic objectives through employing live, virtual, and constructive exercise methodologies
• Routinely collaborates with elements of the N-NC HQ staffs, NORAD Regions and Sectors, USNORTHCOM Components
• Participates/supports Commands/Organizations, and interagency/multinational partners in the design, development and execution of N-NC exercises and linked events, with primary focus on the VIGILANT SHIELD and AMALGAM DART exercise series
• Manages exercise Trusted Agent portal pages on the NORAD Enterprise Network (NEN) and exercise planning information in the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) and associated Joint Master Scenario Event Lists (JMSEL) database tool
• Previous International or COCOM Air Engagement Experience
• Experienced Aviator with Senior Exercise and Training Experience

• Current Top Secret Clearance
