LCAT: NC3 Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Overview: In this position you will be supporting the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (EC) Directorate in their efforts to improve the governance of NC3 operations, requirements development, assessment and analytics, compliance and inspection, and system engineering and integration.

Specific Duties:

• Assisting in developing a plan to organize the NC3 EC assessment and analytical activities to drive and improve decision making.
• Assist in providing a centralized vision and foundation to help different parts of the enterprise view data-related capabilities in a consistent manner and ensure the execution of high level guidance on what actions, tradeoffs, and metrics to measure in order to ensure an organization gets the most value out of its data.
• Assist in coordinating modeling and simulation capabilities that support NC3 EC training, operational assessments, exercise, wargaming, engineering, experimentation, concept development, demonstrations, prototyping and alternate futures analysis, and other NC3 EC functions lacking dedicated M&S support.
• Assist in ensuring NC3 enterprise stakeholders develop and design Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities that support overall mission goals and comprehensively address all the standards related to the design, development, and responsible employment of these capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Active/current Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control-Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI), NATO, and Special Access Required (SAR) classified material access.
• 5+ years' experience in a highly quantitative field (computer science, ML, etc.) with experience in building and deploying predictive models.
• Extensive experience with Machine Learning libraries (scikit-learn, NLTK, SystemML), large scale data mining and big-data distributed systems (Hadoop, H2O, etc), and pattern recognition over large data sets.
• Proficiency in interpreted languages like Python and R.
• Experience with compiled languages such as C, C++, C# and a strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
