The National Guard Bureau J3/7 assists Office of the Secretary of Defense, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Combatant Commanders (NORTHCOM, PACOM), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Stat Adjutants General and National Guard Bureau in supporting plans, programs and activities, training, and exercises. The J3/7 ensures the functions are integrated and complimentary where appropriate. The CNGB has tasked the J3/7 to develop and support strategic national and regional training activities aimed at enhancing domestic contingency readiness with subject matter expertise on joint doctrine, training, education, and exercises to ensure a trained and balanced National Guard force ready to support any mission of the States, Territories, and District of Columbia, or the Combatant Commander. The purpose of this effort is to support: 1) NGB and JFHQs-State training and exercise programs 2) NG J-staff, Adaptive Battle Staff, Homeland Response Force and CBRNE Response Force packages, and Civil Support Teams 3) independently and in conjunction with Joint Exercise Program (JEP), Chairman's Exercise Program (CEP), and National Exercise Program Capstone Exercise (NEPCE) 4) across a full spectrum of possible emergencies that may occur due to natural disaster, mass accidents, terrorist events or threats to the homeland 5) and other exercises selected or ordered by the NG 3/7.

Specific Requirements for a Senior Exercise Planner, Joint Exercise Planner, and Cyber Analyst - Subject Matter Expert (SME) are as follows:

Desired qualifications for Senior Exercise Planner
• Work Experience: Office of the Secretary of Defense, or Combatant Command, or The Joint Staff, or National Guard Bureau Joint Staff; Program and Policy Development; Program Management with 10 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge/Exposure: Staff action process and joint/service staff operations; briefings and products in support of Senior Leaders.
• Clearance: Top Secret/SCI

Desired qualification for Joint Exercise Planner
• Work Experience: Combatant Command, Office of Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff or National Guard Bureau Joint Staff; Program and Policy Development
• Knowledge/Exposure: Staff action process and joint/service staff operations; briefings and products in support of senior leaders.
• Clearance: Secret

Desired qualifications for a Cyber Analyst - SME
• Work Experience: Senior Major Command or Combatant Command, Joint Staff or National Guard Bureau Joint Staff; Program and Policy Development
• Knowledge/Exposure: Staff action process and joint/service staff operations; briefings and products in support of senior leaders
• Familiarity with current Cyber methodology and US Government, DOD, and interagency instructions regarding exercises in a degraded Cyberspace environment.
• Clearance: Top Secret/SCI
