Certification: DOD 8570 IAM Level II (which includes Security+ w/CE, CASP, Juniper or CISCO, ITILv3 Foundations required (or must be able to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Specific Duties:

• Work side-by-side with the Project Manager providing technical expertise and support
• Provide in-depth knowledge and technical expertise in the areas of design, installation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure following established methodologies and processes
• Responsible for creating, maintaining/updating technical documents (SDP, RDP, SVAT plans, diagrams, etc.) and ensure they are developed and adhere to strict output specifications, meet project requirements, and written at a high engineering level
• Responsible for generating and coordinating Change Management (change requests, authorized services interruptions, etc.) activities as required
• Must be committed to the highest standard of customer service with outstanding oral and written communication must provide example(s) of written communication skills
• Coordinate vendor support and evaluate products and recommend purchases consistent with the organization's short and long-term objectives
• Support customer (technical) meetings and ensure compliance with project requirements and overall design

Required Skills:

• Experience with virtual environment management connectivity and configuration

• Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service with outstanding written and oral communication
• Proficient in WAN optimization and QOS
• Good analytical skills and experience with forward/reverse chaining troubleshooting techniques
• Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers preferred

Qualifications

• Current active U. S. Secret security clearance
• DOD 8570 IAM Level II includes Security+ w/CE, CASP, Juniper or CISCO, ITILv3 Foundations required (or must be willing and able to obtain it within 90 days of hire)
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years relevant experience (or commensurate combination of education, training and experience)

• Three (3) years of hands-on experience with Cisco network equipment
• Three (3) years working knowledge of Layer-3, VPNs, OSPF, firewall policy, and VLAN management
• CCNA or equivalent preferred
