Job Duties: Job Duties: Support for NPES, Command and Control (C2), MCCC, and COOP in the following areas: systems operations, implementation, training, maintenance, user support and administrative support at Headquarters USNORTHCOM (Peterson AFB), Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS), and FE Warren AFB, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

• Required Skills: The work will require expertise, practical operational experience, and technical support which includes:
• Installation, operations, and maintenance of the NPES at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS) and FE Warren AFB and during contingency and war time conditions will be able to conduct mission analysis, operations and maintenance 24/7 at both locations
• Deploy within the USNORTHCOM AOR under data masked conditions by performing battle staff support and providing advice and assistance to deployed personnel on use of NPES to accomplish mission tasks, exercise design and simulation, and coordination directly with N-NC Current Operations Division (N2C2) training staff for the synchronization of training events (approximately two (2) major deployment events per year) and lasting approximately 3 -5 days, 24 hours per day
• Provide primary adaptive planning functions, ability to manipulate the NPES database, recommend courses of action, provide immediate reports and assessments to the battle staff and commander, and enter government decisions into the NPES database
• Provide NPES System support administration, and monitor hardware and software modernization and upgrades performed by USSTRATCOM
• Provide quality control analysis on updates to monitor compatibility with the national level database.
• Perform NPES configuration management and submitting national-level system stake-holder requests, system deficiency reports, and software upgrade proposals
• Monitor, update, and maintain daily awareness of operational status; monitor status of connections between the Smart.neXt communications interface, the Smart Spooler, the Smart Nuclear Detonation Detection System (NDS) Gateway and the primary communications system; troubleshoot Smart.neXt connectivity problems in coordination with the 721 Communications Squadron and their support contract; and monitor receipt of all NPES message traffic.
• Repair and configuration of LAN equipment (switches, cables, and network management software);
• Ability to coordinate with USSTRATCOM programmers and analysts to resolve complex NPES software and hardware issues and support NPES User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to annual version releases and experience with providing assessment reports on each worldwide weapon delivery system capability for US, Allies, and potential adversaries

Qualifications:

• Experience with the installation, operation and maintenance of the NPES System
• Experience with HP C3000 Chassis; HP460s; HP380s (Domain Controllers using Windows 2012 Server software); SanBlaze controllers; Cisco Network routers; NPES V16 software; Oracle V12.1.0.2.0; Standard Query Language (SQL); Oracle Secure Global Desktop V5.10; Jboss Application Server 7.1; Java 1.6/1.7; Elastic Sky X (ESXI) 5.5 (Hypervisors/VMware); VSphere V5.5; Integrated Weapons of Mass Destruction Toolset (IWMDT) V3.4, running Windows 10; NPES Geospatial Information System (GIS) (v14.1.0); and Windows network technology with supporting software.
• Experience with Nuclear Planning and Executions System and in depth knowledge of the following: Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS); Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS); Joint Master Scenario Event List (JMSEL); NIPRnet; SIPRnet; MILSTAR, MWC2D Missile Warning Command and Control Distributed, Ground NUDET Terminal (GNT), DCIN-TS Defense Continuity Integrated Network - Top Secret; PDS-M; C2BMC; Windows Exchange Server; STRAT-LAN (Kiosk)
• Working knowledge of Emergency Actions Procedure-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (EAP-CJCS) Vol VI, VII, VII Annex A, and IX; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction (CJCSI) 3280; CJCS OPORD 2-XX and 3-XX; USNORTHCOM MCCC CONOPS/CONEX; NORAD CONPLAN 3310
