Job Duties: Under general supervision, carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.
• Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
• Document and work to resolve all problems.
• Report progress on problem resolution to management.
• Devise improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.
• Perform workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
• Prepare activity reports
• Perform Quality Assurance review of externally linked portable document format (pdf) files prior to being placed on a Premaster CD
• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) review of pdf files to ensure the following:
o Adobe Reader installed correctly.
o Menu application installed correctly.
o Text was intelligent.
o No image errors.
o Correct page orientation.
o Correct dated manual with the latest changes were on the CD.
• Provide the Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA) with the final quality assurance (QA) review of Electronic Technical Manuals (ETMs) grouped by Weapon System on Compact Discs (CDs).
• Review CDs for compatibility with Windows-based operating systems.
• Ensure Adobe Reader installed correctly, menu application installed correctly, no image errors, correct page orientation and correct dated manuals are included.
• Ensure that files are grouped by Weapon System, and are externally linked to enable the user to maneuver easily from one file to another file referenced in the same Weapon System
• Correct errors found during final QA, and place on a CD for a second review.
• Perform initial review of files received from the Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) to ensure publication dates and distribution codes are correct for new files, revisions or changes.
• Verify Signature blocks to ensure the correct Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army and Chief of Staff are included.

Required Skills:
• Experience with the following is highly desired: Adobe Acrobat Pro, InfoLinker, Microsoft Office Suite, ETM Oracle Database, DA PAM 25-30
• Related experience and training with DoD
• Able to work with little supervision
• Some knowledge of Army Weapon Systems helpful
• Ability to adapt
• Possess excellent planning and organizing skills and is detail orientated

Qualifications:
• Strong experience with technical writing of Army documentation
• Secret clearance
