SCSM/SCOM Administrator
Job Title: SCSM/SCOM Administrator
Work Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance: Current Active Secret
Education: BS/BA; or HS Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree
Certification: Current Security+ CE and Windows Server 2012
Schedule: Monday Friday, some weekend possible
Travel: N/A

Specific Duties:
SCSM duties include:
- Experience with SCSM and recent experience with SCSM 2016 or SCSM 2012 R2 in an enterprise environment
- Troubleshoot failed SCSM deployments and SCSM health issues, including workflow, server, data warehouse, reporting, data connectors, etc.
- Administer SCSM CMDB, using Cireson tools.
- Administer the SCSM back end to keep the system running and healthy, including upgrades and changes to core components, site boundaries and bandwidth settings.
- Manage and administer SCSM client health including client remediation
- Manage and administer SCSM desired state
- Other tasks as assigned
SCOM duties include:
- Analyze Alerts and determines if the monitor is creating a valid alert or weather the alerts are noise, tune alerts to reduce noise.
- Push SCOM agents to all network systems, Linux, Windows, Cisco, Juniper
- Monitor and fix broken connectors between SCOM, SCSM, SCCM, and SCORCH
- Create SCORCH runbooks or scripts to automate SCOM alert resolutions.
- Monitor and update SCOM software, management packs
- Create dashboards using performance point and SharePoint.
- Create documentation for all over rides and rules, both old and new.
- Other tasks as assigned
Skills:
- Perform administrative task from the Service Manager console.
- Perform administrative task from the Configuration Manager console
- Perform administrative task from the Orchestrator Manager console
- Perform administrative task from the Operations Manager console
- Develop and execute test plans for deployed solutions
- Validate patches and security policies for enterprise tools and operating systems
- Grant permissions to allow responsible groups to manage resources and work queues
- Utilize verbal and written communication skills to maintain accurate system documentation and provide training as required
- Manage customer satisfaction through effectively communicating and managing customer expectations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting government and/or Department of Defense customers
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Strong investigative drive and listening skills, self-motivated individuals
- 5+ years IT work experience in a global information technology infrastructure environment
- Understanding of the other System Center Products
