CLC: SOCNORTH Strategic Planning Analyst

Job Duties:

        Advise SOCNORTH leadership on U.S. national and military objectives, policy and the political-military implications of using SOF within the USNORTHCOM AOR.

        Review and provide operational analysis on national and Department of Defense level source documents for USNORTHCOM and USSOCOM.

        Review and support the development of supporting documents for theater-level source documents for NORTHCOM and USSOCOM.

        Review and analyze House Armed Service Committee and Senate Armed Service Committee (HASC/SASC) testimonies for the impact on SOCNORTH .

        Ensure the integration of sensitive and compartment plans into SOCNORTH plans and operations

        Work with the SOJ8 on the financial impacts of strategic plans and ensure costs are captured in specific budget plans to include the Program Objective Memorandum (POM).

        Provide additional operational planning support to the SOJ5 developing posture plans concerning SOF forces, footprints and agreements in support of USNORTHCOM and USSOCOM..

Required Skills: The work will require expertise, and practical operational experience in support of the SOCNORTH mission:

        Understanding of the USNORTHCOM and SOCNORTH organizations and missions.

        Experience in providing advice at the strategic the National, military levels

        Experience in working POM initiatives

Qualifications:

        Experience with providing strategic level national and military advice

        Experience with working POM initiatives
