LCAT: Senior Systems Engineer

Overview: Individual supporting this position will support USSTRATCOM by participating in a collaborative Scrum based Agile multi-discipline team working closely with the government. Work towards tasks to move forward with Release and Sprint Backlog items (epics and user stories) identified as priorities and towards acceptance criteria. Participate in Sprint planning and routine sprint reporting cadence.

Specific Duties:

• Enable the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Pipeline through appropriate design guidelines.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, design, and test cases.
• Work directly with Agile teams to determine velocity, prioritize tasks, implement requirements, and automate.
• Work tasks related to Product Backlog and assist the Product Owner to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Perform lessons learned and/or root-cause analysis for DevSecOps issues recommend SW improvements.

Skills: Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with clients and vendors, demonstrated technical leadership skills, good verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Experience should include using iterative development, test driven development, automated testing, automated installation and deployment, managing infrastructure as code, and troubleshooting techniques.
• 5+ years of experience working projects using Agile development processes and DevSecOps, including CI/CD and associated automation techniques.
• Hands-on experience working with tools and technologies to include software development, configuration control, testing, security, automation, containers, orchestration, cloud services, and open source technologies to support various steps of the DevSecOps lifecycle: o Plan and Develop: GitHub, GitLab, Jira o Build: Maven, MSBuild, Gradle, Packer o Test: Junit, Cucumber, Jenkins, Inspec o Secure: Fortify, Twistlock, Nessus o Store artifacts: Nexus, Maven o Deploy & Operate: Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Helm, Saltstack, Kubernetes, containers, VMware vROPs o Monitor: Nagios, Elk, Splunk
• Experience with design, implementation, and management of security management tools.
• Subject matter expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, KMS, Cloud Formation, and IAM
• Previous experience with DoD related cloud based migration or implementation, familiar with FEDRAMP
