Education: Bachelor's Degree in relevant computer-related field or equivalent tech experience or equivalent field of study: Computer Networking or Engineering.  Master's Degree is highly desired.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Help Desk or Customer Service support; troubleshooting and technical support via phone, web based tools, and email

Certification: Must be certified at DoD 8570, IAT Level II (any of the following meet the requirement):

CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP with networking and operating systems (Unix/Linux, Windows)

Travel: On Occasion

We are seeking a Help Desk Shift Leader who is willing and able to work all 3 shifts as a Tier 3 Advanced SME in the Washington D.C. area.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Experienced with Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
  • Must be willing and able to work day, swing, or midnight shifts
  • Good customer service skills such as verbal, interpersonal and written communication
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership
  • Ability to provide technical support to staff on complex IT issues
  • Working knowledge of networks and the interdependencies between networks and the desktop and other user platforms
  • Good leadership and motivation skills in order to help lead and drive a very busy Helpdesk
  • Experience in process of maintaining and improving quality of the Helpdesk function by participating in the appraisal system, and the Training and Development Plan of staff
  • Represent helpdesk team in cross-functional meetings/reviews
  • Ability to run weekly metric reports to distribute to the government

 

Qualifications:

  • Active current TS+ clearance
  • Must be certified at DoD 8570, IAT Level II with network and operating systems (Unix/Linux, Windows)
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant computer-related field or equivalent tech experience or equivalent field of study: Computer Networking or Engineering
  • Experience working in DoD system such as JWICS, NIPR, SIPR, or NSANET environments
  • Experience with Remedy or similar ticketing systems
  • Demonstrable experience of utilizing and applying sound business analysis skills
  • DoD 8570 IAT level II certifications required with networking and operating systems (Unix/Linux, Windows)
