LCAT: Standoff Weapons Planner SME

Overview: In this position you will be providing support to the Standoff Munitions Applications Center, a component of the Joint-Global Stirke Operations Center (J-GSOC), located at Barksdale AFB, LA and other locations within the CONUS and OCONUS.   

Specific Duties:

• Assist with planning for kinetic and non-kinetic employment of standoff capabilities including the production of weapon routes for government approval.
• Formulate, integrate, analyze, present, and coordinate COA plans pursuant to government specification as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Produce, document, and distribute planning documents and media supporting a directed COA.
• Provide standoff weapon employment advice and assistance for capabilities assessments, analyzing shortfalls, recommending developmental priorities, and assisting with the development of new tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Active/current Top Secret+ DoD security clearance
• 5+ years' experience as a rated officer in a tactical aircraft and successful completion of a Formal Training Unit or Replacement Training Unit
• Demonstrated experience with Standoff Weapon (SOW) planning with Joint Mission Planning Software (JMPS) and Unix-based Mission Planning System.
• Experience utilizing a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for assessment and improvement of standoff munitions and operations
• Experience with overall performance factors for JASSM, MALD, TLAM, ATACMS, and hypersonic weapons.
• Demonstrated experience with planning, organizing, and teaching cruise missile and decoy mission planning, employment practices, and mission planning software to new SOW planners.
