Overview: S4 Inc. is looking for System Administrators with experience installing, maintaining, and upgrading operations and applications for Windows environments. A knowledge of UNIX and Linux is a plus.  In this position you will be required to:

• Manage file systems and configuration and provide recommendations regarding system performance and capacity planning to include new technologies enhancing current methods and technologies
• Understand and adhere to and implement overall security policies
• Develop and implement policies and procedures regarding core infrastructure, including backup and restore procedures, load and perform monitoring, access permissions, hardware provisioning, hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Apply software releases and conduct monthly maintenance
• Accomplish security Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patch actions as directed by the government security office
• Monitor and audit system logs for system and network anomalies
• Investigate, document, and report security violations, attempts to gain unauthorized access, virus infections that may affect the network, or other events affecting security
• Analyze engineered designs supporting new hardware, storage, firewalls, routers, networks, and operating systems
• Review and recommend the installation, modification, or replacement of hardware or software components and any configuration changes that affect security

Required Qualifications:

• Active current TS+
• Bachelor's degree in IT discipline and 4-8 years of relative industry experience; or HS Diploma/GED 8-12 years of relative industry experience
• Experience in Windows System Administration
• Security +
• Top Secret clearance with SSBI

Desired Skills:

• Experience working with customer operating systems (Windows, Solaris, Linus, etc.)
• Strong skills using and maintaining ADDS and managing group policy
• Using and maintaining Windows Server Update Services
• Using and maintaining System Center Operations Manager
• Updating and maintaining SharePoint 2010 or later
• PowerShell Scripting
• WMware vSphere 5.5 or later
• Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements
