Service Transition Manager Responsibilities:

 

  • Serves as senior subject matter expert associated with content, processes and procedures associated with ERP
  • Defines the detailed requirements, analyzes the business needs, and validates solutions with the client
  • Details requirements through the product development and other functions to support the project team
  • Monitors other business analysts in software development methods and processes and implementation of those methods
  • Evaluates development projects and assists in tailoring the development process to meet the project needs
  • Set and enforce the warranty period quality measures/acceptance criteria and ensure projects are not closed until these have been met
  • Contribute to a high performing and collaborative culture by demonstrating a drive for continuous improvement
  • Ensure effective decommissioning of services that are deemed `end of life` - to confirm the remove of all operational facilities, and redundant equipment, while ensuring any operational dependencies are effectively managed
  • Ensure that appropriate lifecycle resourcing, training, tooling, support and documentation is delivered with a formal project sign-off from all key stakeholders
  • Represent the Logistics team at all meetings to define and implement service acceptance criteria for both new and changing services
  • Work with Project Managers, Business Owners, Service Owners, Managed Service Partners, Operations teams and 3rd parties to ensure that equipment is properly tracked and recorded
  • Ensure an effective set of performance metrics and service levels are delivered
  • Participate in end to end stakeholder groups to improve the efficiency of future deliveries and processes
  • Identify and manage risks to ensure a successful equipment inventory transition from the Warehouse to the Project team to O&M
  • Be part of the Service Operations function which is responsible for end to end Service Management processes in collaboration with multiple partners and suppliers, across various disciplines including Logistics, Network and IT Operations

Skills:  

  • Serves as senior subject matter expert associated with content, processes and procedures associated with ERP
  • Defines the detailed requirements, analyzes the business needs, and validates solutions with the client
  • Details requirements through the product development and other functions to support the project team
  • Monitors other business analysts in software development methods and processes and implementation of those methods
  • Evaluates development projects and assists in tailoring the development process to meet the project needs
  • Strong understanding of the ITIL Service Lifecycle
  • Knowledge and experience of IT Service transition with a good understanding of its aims, objectives and processes
  • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Service Design Principles
  • Strong organisational skills and a proven Project Management track record in IT Service Delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Active/current Top Secret Clearance
  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • ITIL Practitioner/Manager level or equivalent (desired)
