Location: Offutt AFB, NE

Clearance: Current/Active TS+

Education: Associates degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; or directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Experience: 5-8 years relevant industry experience is desired

Certification: Comp TIA Security+ (or higher) and ITIL v3 Foundation

Job Duties:

• Installs, maintains, and upgrades OSs and applications for UNIX and Linux environments.
• Performs data backup and recovery.
• Provides setup, configuration and maintenance of all peripheral devices such as routers, hubs, etc.
• Performs system applications monitoring and reporting to include performance and planning.
• Manages file systems and configuration.  Provides recommendations regarding system performance and capacity planning to include new technologies enhancing current methods and technologies.
• Understands/adheres to and implements overall security policies.
• Assists in development and implementation of policies and procedures regarding core infrastructure, including backup and restore procedures, load and performance monitoring, access permissions, hardware provisioning, hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Assists in devising targeted metrics to assess system performance on an ongoing basis
• Analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs workstations, Internet connectivity, security services, and e-mail services.  Works with outside vendors and support desks for third-party applications.
• Assists with software release and monthly system maintenance.
• Performs troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in CIS, CS, IT, IS, or related discipline
• 5-8 years relevant industry experience
• Security+ and ITIL v3 Foundation
• TS+ Security Clearance
• Ability to interact with employees at all levels
