Overview: S4 Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Developer with at least 10 years of experience with Business Development, Capture management and proposal writing with significant experience in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance fields. This candidate will also collaborate with proposal leaders on content delivery throughout the proposal process.

The role requires an ethical approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities, comprehensive business acumen, technical understanding, resourcefulness, and outstanding business relationships. This is a new business development position in the organization that will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Specific Duties:

The Business Developer is directly responsible for contributing to the development and management of a robust qualified pipeline focused on Cybersecurity. The qualified pipeline must be linked to both near and long-term business strategies that provide the business an opportunity to grow revenue. The position requires a high degree of responsibility; significant and lasting customer affinity; outstanding communication skills; the ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize against goals and objectives; discernment to manage the pipeline against the operation, group, and corporate strategy; and the ability to develop new solutions, processes, and operational plans that position S4 for positive outcomes in the target marketspace. Developing new opportunities and creating positive business outcomes are primary responsibilities of the business development lead. In addition, extensive industry relationships, understanding of the existing program and teaming environment, and mastery of various facets of the customer mission are critical to this position.

Required Skills:

  • This position requires a BA/BS (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 8+ years of experience
  • Familiarity at the highest levels of Cybersecurity infrastructures and processes and how they operate
  • Excellent communications skills - demonstrated through written and oral presentations, development of technical papers, volumes, or similar products
  • Familiarity with online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations
  • Experience in identifying and qualifying small business development programs
  • Proven record of success developing opportunities within the Military Communities
  • Demonstrated skills in all areas of business development including opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer visits, customer relationship development, relationship development with competitors, team leadership, etc.
  • Experience in the development of and successful negotiation of teaming agreements
  • Comprehensive understanding of the development, application, and maintenance of offensive cyber strategy, tools, and analytics
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish solid working relationships with technical staff, division managers, and peers across the corporation
  • Experience with Microsoft products to write, format, manage and publish high-quality content.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with cyber security compliance assessments of existing and emerging technologies
  • Proven and demonstrated experience in creating, editing, and reviewing technical documentation to include color reviews for format, clarity, and overall cohesiveness.
  • Ability to translate cybersecurity principles and polices to paper.
  • Preferred capability of writing to topics such as cybersecurity best practices to include access management, patch management, network segmentation, logging and monitoring, configuration management, malware prevention.
